We are hoping to visit The Grand Palace it looks stunning
our home for a couple of months????
where we will be staying in Bangkok
We finally booked our flights we leave for Oslo on the 15/06 we shall be staying in Oslo for the night then catching our direct flight to Bangkok on the afternoon of the 16/06. we found really cheap flights just after christmas with Norwegian airways through skyscanner.net, one way flights were £648 for the 3 of us we then managed to grab some cheap flights London Gatwick to Oslo with Ryanair £30 each …..bargain.
We have booked a hotel on the very lively backpacker area of Khao San Road ( this road was made notorious by the book/film The Beach). We have booked one night at Rambrutti Inn and Plaza which was £12 for the night, I’m loving these Thai prices :).
We plan to stay in Bangkok for 4/5 nights this should give us enough time to ride a tuk tuk, visit The Grand Palace and the emerald budda, visit some lively night markets and floating markets,a visit to wat pho and the reclining budda, visits also to Safari park, siam water park, snake park are all in the itinerary as is a ride in a longtail boat along the Chao phraya River and watching some live thai boxing phew we gonna be busy bees.
We are looking to then head to Koh Phagnan which is a little tropical island in The Gulf of Thailand we are looking to stay there for around 6-8 weeks but who knows we shall see when we get to Bangkok :), we basically have 90 days before we need to leave Thailand then re-enter with our 2nd visa. The only time we have got definite plans is November when my lovely Georgia and her boyfriend Simon are coming out to Phuket and also my sister Nicola and her husband Ken will be out around that time as well . Georgia is now working and enjoying herself, she is moving in with her nan and grandad whilst we are away which is really nice i think everyone is happy with the situation as Georgia and her grandparents can spend some quality time together, and I’m happy knowing she is 100% safe……perfect

We have been VERY busy these last few months, very busy indeed 🙂
Home ed rroooocks, we are having a great time doing this home schooling thing, we are all learning so much. It really is an amazing experience although we do have the occasional crap day, most days are great and cant believe how long we waited to make the decision to pull him out of school.
Anyway what have we been doing? well we did go back up to London and this time we stayed overnight. We went just before christmas so we went to Oxford Street to see the very pretty christmas lights, and then popped into Hamleys again on Regent Street it was so much more busier then last time we went they have their staff doing demonstrations of some of the toys and had a lot of fun.
We stayed at a very good B&B in Pimlico called Victoria Inn the room was small but was very clean and the location was spot on, it cost £79 for a triple room which included continental breakfast…i didnt think that was too bad for London.
We also went to Hyde Park for the winter wonderland which was really nice walking around all the christmassy rides and little scandinavian huts selling allsorts of christmas treats but everything was really expensive, which we knew it would be luckily Oliver didnt fancy doing many of the rides, some of them looked horrendous 🙂
On the 2nd day we spent a good 3 hours at the British Museum which was amazing Oliver really liked the mummies and Roman Britian exhibits there was lots to see we really enjoyed it.
We headed for Covent Garden for some food and had a lot of fun with the street entertainers and people watching :), before coming home we stopped off at London Bridge station so as Oliver could see the Shard skyscraper “in real life”. Oliver loves all things buildings and skyscrapers and has just recently won a Blue Peter badge for his idea for a Blue Peter episode which was about skyscrapers and that one of the presenters should bungee jump off it:).
P.S Blue Peter badge cardholders get into over 200 attractions country wide FREE including The Sealife centres, Thorpe Park, Legoland Chessington and lots more.
